WILD LIGHT - Tasmanian photo book by Grant Dixon

Grant Dixon - photographer

Wild Light

“Grant has high standards, and it is obvious that those standards have been applied in meticulous detail to the selection of photographs, print quality, graphic design, colour management, and impact to the reader. It is simply one of the highest quality mass production books by a landscape photographer in this country …”

Nick Monk, Tasmanian landscape photographer, on Winter Light, Grant's previous photo book
.

Grant’s first photographic book, WINTER LIGHT, a singular collection of images of Tasmania’s wild mountain landscape in winter, was self-published in 2020.

WILD LIGHT, has the same high production quality but presents other aspects of the wild Tasmanian landscape, with sublime images of its rocky basement, cloak of vegetation and rugged mountains, and also features Tasmania’s subantarctic outpost, Macquarie Island. The hard cover, 30cm x 23.5cm, 128 page book, contains 95 images and is printed on environmentally-friendly, FSC-certified paper.

In his foreword to WILD LIGHT, conservationist and writer, Geoff Law, states: “This book of photographs …. is the product of attributes developed by Grant over the course of five decades. These include his unquenchable thirst for adventure, his physical endurance, his finely honed photographic instincts, his artistry in composing images, his intimate knowledge of the Tasmanian wilderness, and his reverence for wild places.

WILD LIGHT is now SOLD OUT.
